Hi there! Welcome to AweleKume (pronounced Ah/Way/Lay-Koo-May or better simplified as AK).

This corner of the internet is where thoughts take form, ideas breathe, and creativity finds a voice. This website is the result of endless musings, late-night bursts of inspiration, and a refusal to keep opinions bottled up.

Why Awelekume? 

I chose this name because I'd just discovered I had a full name, I'd gone my whole 17 years alive thinking my name was just that (Awele), and well, this site is supposed to be an extension of me so what better name than my full name, Awelekume? 

Who is Awelekume?

Better known as just Awele, I'm a writer (I mean duh), a psychology student who's about to graduate (Yasss), a reader and someone with a whole lot of opinions. 

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me gaming, brainstorming new concepts, or simply figuring out life one day at a time. This website is my canvas — to share, reflect, and sometimes rant about the world around me.

How It All Started

AweleKume was born on September 24, 2020, out of a simple goal: to stop bombarding my WhatsApp contacts with endless essays, stories, and unsolicited opinions and I know you're probably thinking "Is that it?" or something along the lines of "Why not just stop bombarding" and well, yes that is it and I did try to stop bombarding but one thing about me and my opinions? It must be heard! 

Awelekume evolved into a lifestyle blog where experiences, lessons, and creativity are served with a side of wit and honesty. Awelekume.com is my pet project designed and coded independently with a growing knowledge of HTML so everything is basically handcrafted over here—with love, love ;)
